How do your parents feel about you domaining?

Do they not understand what you're doing?
Do they think it's ok as long as you use your own money?
Do they give you money to spend?

My parents were understanding and gave me money in the beginning. It took many months before I started buying names purely off previous sales and not through the help of my parents.

Well, as long as I dont use too much of my own money

My dad understands that I buy and sell domains... My mom... not so much. :x
I don't think they are worried about it because I am using only my money.
I started with $0 and they've given me $0.

My parents have absolutely no idea of what I do online with domains and hosting... for all they know I look at porn all day :bah: The only thing they really know is that I work online and that is where I get my money... I've tried to explain it to my mom... but it's all over her head.

Mine don't have a clue, its just never come up lol. I use my own money so it doesn't affect them.

Mine haven't a clue, it took them years to understand what I would use hosting for, and they eventually let me get it, but now i just use my paypal account, and whatevers in it for anything

When I started they didn't want me spending money, but thats because I was 14 or so. Now my mum thinks its great since I'm getting good money for it. Enough to pay for driving lessons, test, car and insurance which adds up to £2-3k so its all good

My parents don't know what im doing at all.

My mom gave me her paypal because she didn't know how to use it, it didn't have any money in it and I didn't put any money into it all the money that I have in it at the moment I made online!

I started out with nothing online then I made my first post on Digital Point and asked if someone could sponsor me a domain and hosting and I got 5 replies all saying that they would and I found a really nice person who bought the domain www.wiisaid.com for me I got another guy to make the site for me since I'm useless at that and I started making money from adsense and I also made money mentioning sites in my articles around $10 each and I had no PR.

Since then I haven't been to Wiisaid I sold the forum and I started helping iDot and the owner of idot helps me out with everything all I have to do is advertise his site and he gives me some money for that and to spend on my own.

He has also put a few sites up for me like medlineny.com were I can sell text links for $2 each and they are PR4 links. I was also offered a job at itradeforum.com and I took it.

That wasn't necessary but I was bored so I made the post long.

I had to talk parents into it it took 2 years, they finally said you can try it but i want stats reports haha. (dads a major biz man any wyas)

I got 1 domain and ever since that domain i have made all my money. Just bought my laptop with the earnings. Just have a pug and projector.

And Yea my parents get it haha.
