Page Rank Update

Hi Guys.

I have just noticed one of site's page rank updated. It moved from page rank 4 to 5. Has anybody else noticed this? Has google updated its page rank?

Yep, NamePros finally moved up to a 6/10 with the last update. :tu:

My Museum.Wibaux.US home page moved from a 4 to a 5, and all of the other pages went from a 3 to a 4 or a 2 to a 3.

Good for NamePros, RJ. Am I correct in understanding that each move up gets progressively more and more difficult.

Yes, getting a 7 PR is something like 10 times as hard to get as a 6. And so on for each level above.

Thanks for the additional URL, RJ. I'm using Opera quite a bit lately and miss the page rank more than any other IE specific feature. Thanks for the clarification on the other question, too.

It's better then installing that toolbar, personally I hate that thing and don't really like the way google is "fishing" ,o) Googleranker is a lot easier, enter up to five domains and press submit, done!

My wish list is to move up my indews.com from Page Rank of 5 to Page Rank of 7. Now lets hope it hits that :p

what really does page rank mean?

I understand it to mean your ranking on google, am i right? then why would someone want to go down from 5 to 7???

where is my brain going wrong???

Mine went from 0 to 3, and is now at 4 I believe.

The higher the number, the better the rank. So, if you got a page rank of 7, then it means that is really really good. Getting a page rank of 4,5,6 are quite easy. But its the 7 thats hard!

Just checked pagerank of two of my sites. Both have 6 at the moment. Not that I'm complaining, I wonder how they got that rating? There has been very little activity on those sites for the past two months. Haven't touched them ever since.

Let's see if they make 7 next month As most people say it's hard to climb from 6 to 7.

You should check out the mainpage, http://www.namepros.com/, that hat a PR 6/10! But as far as I know Google made another PR Update on the 22th en 23th of this month.
