About 6 months ago I was in deep talks to partner with an individual who owned a couple of extremely valuable domains. We exchanged ideas via email and phone over the course of 2 months. It was ultimately agreed that we would move forward...my idea, his domains.
Fast forward a few months and I've heard nothing. His email address is now invalid. Today I did a google search and learned that he passed away just after our unofficial partnership was formed.
The domains are registered until 2022 so waiting for expiration isn't an option. What would you do in this situation?
mmmm i wonder if a signature obtained through automatic writing would be legit?
I tracked down his wife and forwarded the email conversation we had. In no way will I attempt to claim the domain for myself through wrongful tactics. She is now aware that the domain exists under her late husbands account. He also owned their lastname.com which she did not know.
If she wants to keep it, great. If she wants to negotiate to sell the domain, great. It's all up to her!

I'm sure a case could be made there. Personally, I wouldn't try it. A written agreement would be a different ball game IMO.
After a month of back and forth...I will be forming a partnership with the owners wife and brother in development of the domains![]()
Outstanding Keith!!!!!
Treat them right, bro. Only good can come from this.
Care to share the name?
Peace,
Cy
Thanks and perhaps I will share once development is under way![]()
We are developing the name now. Should be done in a month or two!So it's in your name now and nothing happened... so what happened?
