Our Own service uptime monitor.

Hi All,

We've just finished coding our own service uptime monitor. It can be found here. It would be great if anyone could provide any feedback or report any bugs.

This will be a free service to our clients once complete. At the end of the testing period all accounts will be removed and would require you to re-register.

Any who are able to find any bugs would be rewarded with a free account when this becomes fully active/online.

Current known bugs:
- Unable to track status of IP
- If one site goes down emails are sent out saying all other sites you are monitoring are also offline.

P.S. We do not currently monitor 237 servers as it is just dummy text.

I suppose that you need to start with your own tests first and doing tests you will see the bugs (or not see)

What are the locations of the monitoring? Is monitoring being done just from the Australia (whrere you from)?

The monitoring is actually done from our servers in Southfield, Michigan.

At the moment it is free for all to test. Soon it will only be available for our clients only.

We are also looking to expand our monitoring locations to provide a better service.

Good service to make life of the clients easy. In this case I can'r get the idea of the initial post here. I believe that will be enough to send that to the particular customer.
But it seems I'm missing something here

Yes, you are right, this tool can't be considered as a signifficant part of internet marketing strategy. Nevertheless for the reason downtimes have a negative impact on website rankings in search engines this tool plays a very important role in search engine marketing and often is included in various SEM packages.

I guess my point was I needed some people to help test whether anyone found any bugs within the script.
I think people just grabbed to the point I was trying to show off. Maybe I'm wrong, but the main point for the post was to see if anyone could find any bugs within the script.
