org.uk - Any interest to an end-user?

What if brandable term is avialable only in org.uk? Will it be interesting to end users? Are there any sales to end users not resellers?

I have been wondering this myself...? I see lots of good .org.uk domains available but rarely register them. On the flipside, I have a very nice .com and the .org.uk is a fairly large developed website.

Anyone sell .org.uks around here?

.org.uk is one of the few extensions which serves it true purpose. Most sites on the .org.uk namespace are actually charities and such.

Sure, there are businesses and end-users using them but for the most-part, most people will type-in .co.uk before .org.uk if it is a business.

There are also plenty of LLL .org.uk names left.

That's right! So, there is chance for a good sale. And me.uk? Practically all top names are taken there, but Namebio doesn't show any sales except horny.me.uk (970$)

No, there is considerably less chance at a sale. And .me.uk is even worse.

I would say for every 1,000 .co.uk sales, there are probably 10 .org.uk ones. And .me.uk? Forget it!

Hope you haven't sold your domains yet as all of the above sales are incorrect. For example, Mobile.org.uk sold for $1,585, Betting.org.uk sold for $2,716, etc, etc. You may want to recheck via another source.

It's a long shot.
And clearly, the more exotic the TLD the less likely it is going to sell. Remember that only a tiny fraction of all domains get sold at some point. The few .org.uk sales here and there are not representative.

It would appear that people have been slowly but surely gathering .ORG.UK names.

The LN and NL combinations got taken up some time last year.

W8.org.uk

and I have renewed half of them for another 2 years a few weeks ago and intend to renew the remainder... cause I don't want anyone else to reap any profit that may come of it.

I stand corrected?

It seems BidNo is correct. The sales values were off according to his source. Thank you for the correction. And it does open the door to curiosity. It would be interesting to know why the discrepancy.

Another note is that almost all of these names seem to be simply parked. Not one "organization" in use here. Shopping.org.uk seems to be an ad driven directory and I stress "seems" to be. Not good considerring the absence of organizations on the list. You can add my LLL.org.uk to the parking list as well.



However, the silver lining would be, the revised prices are higher

My appologies on that issue. The sales data was pulled directly from Sedo in this case, but the currrency converter was not properly exchanging to US Dollars. Simple issue, will get this one fixed right away, BTW - New Version of NameBio.com 3.0 is out! Your gonna love it....

Data is incorrect as I bought Shopping.org.uk for 220 GBP however Sedo have still not yet enabled the transfer.

The owner still has other names on Sedo.

This issue has been ongoing for several months now
