Opinion on Country Code TLDs

Hello folks.
What is your opinion on picking up, say three or four letter domains where the name plus the TLD make up one English language word? So long as that country's domain policy places no restrictions on who may use them, such as "only for citizens of (country)".

Is it even worth searching?

They might have some novelty value. They might be ok for your own use, but I don't think you will be able to sell them for a profit.
