I don't recall hearing this being discussed from this angle before, and appreciate the insight. I've been following another current thread that is discussing eastern people's, particularly the Chinese, relationship to numbers that has also been an eye opener. The current major language of the internet may be English, but how the words, (and digits), are interpreted and used, particularly in cultures w/ non-alphanumeric based languages, is an important part of the of the big picture. worldstar, any other examples that are typical of a general eastern view of internet terms?

Well,I think there is many! Just need to be aware of that and begin to have a accumulation!
One example is link, it is similar to Chinese lian! Lian means connect! So I think link acquires more acceptance than connect! So Chinese will believe a name like netlink.com, link365.com etc would be a good name! For me, if newsnet.com is not available, I will be likely to try newslink.com other than newsonline.com :wave:
