What are your thoughts on .online domains?
It's very generic and not as ugly as .xyz for example, so that's a plus - but perhaps a little too long to have any success...
Plus most good names are either unavailable or premium...

JB Lions has followed me since day one attacking my threads from .mobi, to .io to .online and .ch. I had a feeling he would come after me when I posted that sales thread. If your so curious as to why I'm selling my domains, I just bought a condo and I need cash asap. Rather than unload some of my stocks or premium 3d .com's, I would rather reduce my gtld and cctld holdings. I'm sure even if I sent you the listing of the condo I purchased with my name it, you wouldn't believe it either. You like to just want to follow and fight me on everything. If it's not Kate, it's JB. Kate at least has a general opinion of a domain extension and I respect that. But JB just wants to argue with me. I can't buy or sell without getting criticized by the guy. I find it funny how lots of the negative posters never even had the audacity to post their opinion on domains and what they think is good, what they buy, none of that. For them it's about crucifying new domainers for whatever reason. It's like a bully syndrome.

You always overreact. My post was quoting you, so how could you have issues with it? I was just wondering what changed in the last few months. And if you need help with cash, wouldn't selling them at $5-$10 get you more than $2? And you should thank me, I actually drove people to your thread and you got some sales today. 4 different people went to that thread and bought something after my post.

You drove it in a negative way. If you were saying for $2 it's worth a buy and yeah things are slow but low risk, that's different. Saying that flipping at $5-10, yeah I did sell quite a few and sold some LLL.ONLINE at higher prices to end users that messaged me. I totally get it, domains are gamble and they can go either way. Nothing is bullet proof and I don't know it all, but you gotta stop pulling something I posted months ago and making a twist on it. I never said .online was going to the moon, but at $1 for a buy and flipping it for anything higher, that's a profit. I'm doing it at $2 because I want to move quite a few. Property is expensive and then add in other living costs. I bought lots, if I sold 500 out of the 1500 then great. But I obviously overdid it out of excitement when I bought and now I'm a little stuck. Doesn't mean I'm dumping them to abandon ship and leave everyone hanging, but cash is king and I need money, that's the bottom line. I'm sure many people have had this happen to them one way or another with many different things in life.

Yeah I can be a little sensitive because I've worked in the public investment sector for over a decade and dealt with online criticisms in much worse ways so yeah I take things more serious than the average poster. If I'm wrong then I admit it 100%, but this is not one of those scenario's. I agree completely that the chinese demand has taken a hit, is it temporary? nobody knows. Lets see what happens, hopefully it picks up again.

Sold a .online this week for $499 fixed price (outbound). Could I have pushed for more? Almost assuredly, but I'm happy, and the buyer's happy.

I say let the naysayers keep on naysaying! I follow the money; if an extension isn't making me money, I'm out. In my current portfolio, .com of course makes up the majority, and .online is sitting comfortably in #2. Take what you will from that. Of course, once renewal time comes around, things could easily change, especially if I'm looking at $30+ renewals/transfers. But as of right now, with their cheap acquisition costs, .online's are quickly paying off for me!

For the record, I wouldn't recommend buying a lot of two-word .online's.

.online almost at 260K regged: https://ntldstats.com/tld

If the pace continues, it should be in the top 10 by summer(around 350K). Sure .Red, .Ren, .Xin and that current 10th place whatever name that is could grow as well, they are by no means a clean enough extension to add with any single word. For example, lets take the following:

Animal - Giraffe - Giraffe.online makes sense, the other extensions would sound bad
Food - Taco - Taco.online works, taco.red? taco.ren? does not sound good

I can do this for every single category but I think everyone gets the picture.

.Online is generic so will work with any keyword. I don't think .Red will come closure and also it sounds negative but it has its own advantages.

.red works with bo.red
.ren works with child.ren

Thats about it.
Or maybe rosesare.red or ilostallmymoneyinthecasinoafterplacingmybeton.red
But in that last case I would recommend casino.online or loans.online or credit.online......
As Jacks stated: I think everyone gets the picture........
