What are your thoughts on .online domains?
It's very generic and not as ugly as .xyz for example, so that's a plus - but perhaps a little too long to have any success...
Plus most good names are either unavailable or premium...

Okay Folks I posted the same questions I am asking here on a .club thread, I would really appreciate your opinions here as well..

"I'm a firm believe in the .online domains but I am rather disappointed over the past 2 days I have been trying to off load some domains for ridiculously cheap. This is a combination of .club and .online domains, both extensions I believe to have superb potential... but nobody seems to be want to grab these domains of mine even at these insanely low prices.... am I missing something here or am I living in a vacuum?

Please refer to domains in my signature and tell me if I am being unreasonable"

Your domains are quite 'nichy'. They are not imo slamdunk domains for you to be able to sell quickly, but thats only my opinion.
Could be easier if you have slamdunks like tickets.online, dictionary.online (they are premiums i know), etc etc...

As Jacks mentioned, it will take a little more time for .online to ripe. If you have it, keep it until market is readier. In the meantime keep selling and buying .coms too, way easier...

Hey Offersity

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. What you saying certainly does make sense..... I would ideally hang onto them and sell them at a later stage for a lot more but circumstances prevail so I'm trying to sell these quickly at a low price to someone who would be will to hold on them for a few months and sell them at a much higher price when the time is right.

I could see a few solid websites being build around some of my .online names.
The keywords are searched often and the words seems together. Wish I was a developer! I could probably build them out.

Mathtutoring.online
Earnyourdegree.online
Finishyourdegree.online
Bookcruises.online
Orderparts.online
Armysupplies.online

Those were some solid offers my man! You should have sold them. Not sure what else you are holding, but that could have reg a shat load on domains. If you list it for sale an that is the only offer you get, maybe you should sell one or two. It's better to have the cash in hand that the domain in the portfolio, specially if you have no plans for it. Lesson learned! I bet you don't make that mistake again.

Sedo say's $2000 and you turn that down! Greed got the better of you. It has happened to me too. Offers are few and far between. When you get a decent offer, think for a day or two or until the offer is no longer valid.

$2000 is 2000 reg's at namecheap. You missed out buddy. Maybe you should put a BIN of $750 on it at sedo and see what happens. I feel your pain, but sell some to finance the others.

Don't sell cheap but don't miss out on solid offers either.

as some said prior that you need to give it some time to percolate into the market . once a big corp uses a .online domain that makes the news im sure things will pickup like xyz. I find that the hardcore domain buyers want dot com obviously but the smaller buyers want a deal and that's where the gtlds will get recognized.

don't expect too much support from np domainers other than those who are into online cause they wont give u the thumbs up even if u got the ultimate dot online.

for example I have VRHEADSETS.tech I posted in vr thread

pretty darn good keyword domain but not one like in vr thread because they are hardcore dot commers in there and buddy buddy with no interest in dot tech, online, Miami whatever tld it is.

people don't want u to succeed unless u r in their little clique, same with the online tld. until a big player makes it news it will be awhile until it gets mainstream and your domains get the traffic and offers they deserve

np is a big domain forum but it doesn't attract buyers imo

just saying...

I was surprised at what was still available for reg fee. There were some really good ones that I came across that were still available.

You guys were so worried about the LLL and NNNN market that you overlooked some gems in my eyes.

$1.06 each I had to jump on them . At some point I will post what I snagged. The buyouts are great but don't limit yourselves to the LLL, LLLL, or NNNN markets. Grab a couple but look at other niches.

I got some good shat while things were busy in other area. I don't plan on holding for very long unless i have to, will sell what I can.

.online has some really good phrases and keywords combos than work really well with the extension.

If you can sell one or two and cover your costs for the others that you've bought then sell that .online and use the funds for renewals of the really good stuff you hold.

Domains 101, buy low, sell high!

as brindle said get creative but don't get stupid.

dot online will catch on but don't reg just anything, be selective to the tld.

I don't use a cc anymore to handreg domains just $ from selling to resellers
and only buy when sales on unless I find a prime dot com I think has potential.

as well imo I don't think numeric has the future that was touted in the last few months unless a dot com or nn,nnn, nnnn dot whatever.

I cant see who will buy them all imo

I feel numeric have been blown out of proportion to the buyers out there who want them and what they are actually purchased for. I have a lot of 5n dot co and a few others in gtlds but im done buying numeric.

the short numeric .com are great. Getting into all the other gtld numerics is getting off track. Stick to what sounds good with the extension!

5n.com has to really get higher for 5n in all the other 100's of gtlds to get anywhere near it.

Stick to one or two keywords in each tld/gtld and the keyword has to work with the extension!

Diversify but don't go overboard.

I didn't really think about .online too much but it's really growing on me. It works with more keywords and phrases then a .net or many other tlds.

Getquotes.online, FindaDate.online, Banking.online, and InsuranceQuotes.online seem to work really well with online.

There is something wrong with the stats if .loan was beating .online at any point in time. I think there was something fishy going on with .loan reg stats if there was anytime that it was ahead of .online.

.Online is ahead of it right now and will never look back, unless things get fishier with .loan!

I still think .online will rival all other tlds/gtls except .com

.com has just been around for so much longer and has some many companies invested in it. .Com is basically a brand in it's own right.

.Online is very new and little is being done by the registry to market it to the public. They leave that up to the domainers and end users. It's cheaper that way, plus we are the major investors in the .online market place.

.Online works, even though we all know we are online when we are in the matrix. Banking.online, Findit.online, Friends.online, BuyShoes.online all sound good and work in conjunction with the extension. There is no disconnect between the keyword and the extension. They go together and make complete sense. Try that with .xyz, .top, .web, .website.
Buyshoes.web, BuyShoes.xyz, BuyShoes.top, or Buy Shoes.website.

.Online has the most keywords and terms, left of the dot that make any sense of any extension.

Thanks a stack for the heads up mate, highly appreciate it. Yeah I am kicking myself repeatedly for not taking those overs.... but such is life I guess. We live and learn :) I've reduced ALL my domain BIN prices on Sedo to $599. Hopefully I get some offers soon.

Just checked the registrations, .online is slightly under 190,000. The daily register trend continues, so that means we should be over 200,000 by this time next week.

If someone got $3,269 for the german word for artificial turf, then that's pretty damn good I'd say. If they can pull that much cash out of a non-english word then there is good times ahead for .online.

I don't think artificial turf even works that well with .online, so if you have a domain that does work really well with the .online, then you should do ok.

checkyourcredit.online is my latest..B-)

Nsmith91, that domain really works well with the .online. Way better than kunstrasen.online does!

There were so many good domains still available until recently, that money has been put into reg'n them.

Now that the good stuff is being taken up, you should sell sales pick up.

Like I said, if someone get $3k for a german domain that doesn't sound, look, or work that well with the extension, then Nsmith91 should do really well with his CheckYourCredit.online!

There seems to be a huge market of artificial turf. A friend of mine explained that sports clubs are more and more on a budget. But they still invest in replacing their grass for artificial, because it will save money in the long run and you can play matches all year round. So there is money to be made selling artificial turf.
