Gambling in this country goes through cycles . Its been in an up cylce that will continue fo quite a while. The tech today will allow gambleing to continue to grow as long as peoples expendable income grows. look out for new anti-gambling laws as soon as we start haveing some deep economic issues.nothing for us to worry about now. Cash is king and there is to much money to be made from big biz and big Gov for this to go away anytime soon. :imho:

Apart from people getting arrested, albeit "big fish", the concern should be how far the authorities are willing to take this? If you own a Website or Parked Domain that promotes or is related to gambling in any way...what are the implications?

I am just being the devil's advocate here as I truly don't know the laws and more, understand the dynamics at work. I can only say based on the ongoing saga that it is not something to be taken lightly.

In time I expect these laws will unravel because of World Trade Organization rulings. Basically, the US has significantly different rules for foreign vs domestic gambling and they are being called to task on the matter in WTO hearings and are loosing.

For more info, Google WTO online gambling

Gotta say the US is such a hypocrite about gambling...where I live they couldn't put a casino on land but yes to boats...what's the diff...I don't understand why it's OK to have a city like Vegas but outlaw online gaming...

you are right about that, they should regulate and tax. I would much rather gamble online with MGM or Caesars instead of PartyPoker or BoDog given the opportunity

That is basically the premise of the WTO hearings.
