Oneseeker.com is a high powered, pay per click, meta search engine with an extensive set of advanced features/options. The software was originally designed after Done Right's "bid search engine" script. However, I hired a professional programmer to rewrite the code and to add a few performance tweaks. The entire software is written in perl, and offers professional level, template based customization (100%).
The script already contains several live search feeds from about, alltheweb, DMOZ, and several others. You can also include your own search-engine/data-source at anytime.
Revenue potential: ( 2 methods)
1.) Direct Customers:
Oneseeker.com allows you to implement a pay per click Add-URL system where customers can submit their sites/URLs. Submission fee is charged on minimum bid rates set by you. Customers can add credit/money anytime Software comes with a full range of utilities to help run a professional ppc advertising system. To see an example of how an "in house" paid listing looks like, simply do a search for the keyword "web design". You will notice that "sitepoint" appears #1 in the search results.
2.) Third Party Affiliate Feeds & Ad Networks:
Additionally, this site is an ideal way to earn revenue though affiliate feeds such as google, miva, kanoodle, revenue pilot etc. Ads/Banners can also be easily inserted in the search results.
Aside from designing a logo, I have not made any customizations to oneseeker.com. What you see is pretty much just the search engine script in it's raw form. Since virtually every page of the site is template based, the buyer can very easily customize every aspect of the site. However if needed, I'll be happy to design a custom layout for an additonal fee.
