I just found one word domain .info. word is really premium. I was going to register it, but got a question before i will do some mistakes. i looked at same word .com, and it is being used for absolutelly different purposes, what that word mean, and all page contains links to another website. No contact info, no legal info, nothing.
But i looked also to the net and org extentions and they are not taken. So i got a question, can i have some trouble by buying one dictionary and common word info in this case?
would appretiate any answer. thank you

Eh, thanks for answers so much. here is the situation. Because i am very beverly familiar with english, it came out, that my one word is a typo, which has 13000 links in google only because east european people write it differently thatn the others. So in this case it is a typo, and the com, like i said, have been used for completly different purposes, which have nothing to do with original word or with typo, but it sounds like two merged words. So in this case can typo be a trademark?

I disagree. I think the singular works better in most cases. Flows better. Think of it in a sentance. "Let's go look up some Domains Info" or "Let's go look up some Domain Info"

A very common mistake, don't worry about it. You should look out for when google says "Did you mean...." and spells out a differnt word, because 9 times out of 10 they are right and you are wrong.

Go here to search for a trademark: http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=searchss&state=j7mpvs.1.1

If the .com version of the typo just goes to a parking page, which is what I think you described, then I doubt there is a trademark. If you are asking if the correct version is a trademark, look it up at the site above, and if you decided to register it, you can always post it in the disputes & legal area of this forum.
