TROTHED - means to be fully committed to some aim, or business but in most cases it is used as synonym for engaged couple. For ex. new trothed - recently engaged.
CONTROVERTING - means: to argue against, dispute, deny, oppose, debut, discuss about something.... Also we have: controverting facts, documents, evidence... etc.
