One char dot com (-.com) on NameJet?

-.com is on pre-release list on NameJet (http://www.namejet.com/Pages/Auctions/BackorderDetails.aspx?domainname=-.com)

I didn't even know you can register single dash domains. Most of the registrars I used refuse to search for "-" as a domain name stating that it is an illegal name. MyDomain does accept the search though. Also none of the single-dash domains is resolved by my dns servers. Strange.

You can't register it -- domain doesn't exist nor can a domain start (or end) with a hyphen. We were joking about placing gigantic bids on this domain a few days ago in the short domain section. I don't know anything about Namejet's backend but I'd guess it was a computer glitch.

I can't believe this is still on NJ?, im beginning to think this is a marketing ploy to draw domainers to the website.

This may explain the high NJ prices we see in their auctions!
