Hi experts here,

I am the owner of Oleander.com. I am thinking about selling the domain name. But not sure what the value is and what the best way to sell it. Any advice or input is well appreciated.

Love the domain assuming we're talking about oleander.com and not oeleander.com. I think you can expect high thousands or low ten thousands for it. I personally know of a boutique who uses the name and think it'd be a great clothing brand as well.

Thanks for your input. Your valuation is close to what GoDaddy estimated:
Estimated Value: $12,025
Interestingly on estibot, the valuation is much higher.
oleander.com
$ 38,000 USD

I know the price is whatever others are willing to pay. So probably until I put the domain name for sale, I won't know the true value. But I appreciate everyone's appraisal input. It gives me a ballpark idea.

Any opinion on what's the best place to put my domain for sale?

Estibot and GoDaddy both give you only an indicator that you may have value. Neither of them mean much in absolute terms.
Single easily pronounced dictionary words in common usage regularly sell to end users at $20k plus. Yours is a flower which is good. Something like Daisy or Tulip would be worth 6 figures or more. Your's does not quite fit into this category as it is a little more obscure and a little less pronounceable, although it is very nice. I agree with getniche above, You could expect 10K+ or thereabouts but it could take some time. The right enduser might even pay a lot more.

For a 'long sale' somewhere like brandbucket, brandpa or similar is a good place for this type of domain, although they will take a hefty commission. They will do a professional valuation as well (You might be surprised what they come up with) If you want to sell quickly you will get less than 10% of potential value in a place like this (but that is the wholesale market!). If you put it up for auction you may not get the full value either. There are individual brokers as well who might do a good job for you. Not sure what the best way for an individual domain is, but you should get a landing page inviting offers in the mean time.

Fantastic domain! Good Luck!

Nice domain. I would expect it to sell for low $XX,XXX to mid $XX,XXX end user.
If you are looking for a fast sale I would expect $5K+ reseller.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your insights. I don’t need to sell my domain quickly. So I will look for a broker or take my time to find an end user as you suggested!

thanks

Yes, patience is your best option, but make (or get some one to make ) a one page website telling the world your domain is for sale. If I come across anyone interested - I will DM you.
Also if you have a facebook account or social media accounts of any kind then post about it on them as well.
Good Luck Paul
