Old Newbie?

I joined this forum way back when it first started and stayed for a few years, I then got out of domains for a few years because one of my sites did so well.

What all I did I miss on this forum and in domaining in general? Really trying to get back into domains and NamePros again like I used to be.

Well, think it was different when I left than what it is now.

For domains, I used places like Snap, NameWinner, and Pool to get good expired names. Had a few that sold for over $1000 but not that many. I was actually approached by the buyer most of the time and still did some of that over the past few years. However, not been an active buyer or seller in I don't know how long lol.

For NamePros, I was around when RJ and CoolHost were here. Used to love the Auctions here, but not sure if they are still here or not.

Lots of speculation about the effect of new gtld's on the market.

Changes at Google pretty much took the fun out of keyword domains and mini-sites

Yes, they hurt my site as well unfortunately.

Are keyword domains still selling good though?

I'm mostly an end user so I am the wrong guy to comment on sales. I know I see names I would have grabbed, especially non dot coms, going unsold. I let a bunch of mine expire because I will never have time to develop tham.

Yea, I let some of mine expire too because it has gotten so expensive to keep renewing them. Should probably try selling them again instead.
