Any website found guilty of using technologies to track a user's browsing behaviour without their consent or sending unwanted marketing emails to consumers could face a fine of up to $750,000. This is the maximum penalty set by the UK.Other countries have already, or will set their own maximum penalties.

How It Works
OKcookie doesn't work like browser tools which block Cookies even if they are essential to functionality.
It takes your website's essential First Party Cookies and puts them in the OKcookie Jar which temporarily and securely stores them until the user agrees to the use of Cookies.
Our plugin allows the essential functions of your website to remain working by placing the OKcookie Master File on the user's browser. This Master File is a non-tracking Session Cookie which acts as a Master Cookie to all of the functions requiring Cookie data.
The OKcookie Master File does not track visitor data and is deleted at the end of the visitor's session.
When the visitor chooses to opt-in to your website's Cookies through the OKcookie Tool Bar, then the OKcookie Master File is deleted and the original First Party Cookies are retrieved from our Cookie Jar and used as normal. It's that simple.
Third Party Cookies are totally blocked from a user's browser until consent has been given.
The OKcookie Tool Bar discretely visible on your site is built on cross-browser compliant CSS3 and jQuery.
OKcookie requires PHP5 (or higher) and cURL enabled.
The OKcookie app handles the whole process from beginning to end.
