As some members of this community know, Epik did a name selection project last year for a new Epik Labs project for creating a Docusign alternative. The name we selected was SignDeck.com.

When we started this concept, Docusign was just going public. In the meantime, their market cap has exploded to a mindblowing $35 billion, which shows how large a market digital signatures is expected to become.

In the meantime, we now have SignDeck.com ready for use. @Gube has been the lead developer. It is looking pretty good. Here is what is cool about it:

    1. Unlimited signatures forever rather than getting locked into a subscription plan with quotas, caps and rising fees as you scale your operation.

    2. Superior privacy where only the signatories can see your documents using unique private keys. This is unlike Docusign where your documents could be surveilled or subpoenaed.

    You can try it here:

    https://signdeck.com/

Your Epik.com login works there - as it is part of the Federated Identity Single Sign On network.

Sign up during the current public beta and be eligible for a free perpetual SignDeck account as well as an opportunity to earn Epik.com account credit for improving it through submission of feedback and bug bounties.

Interesting concept. Does the other party need an Epik account too or can I just email them a link and they can sign without an account? Hopefully to keep the process friction-less they won't require an account. And I could definitely see using this for executing signed purchase agreements for a domain in deals where that makes sense.

    No, they don't.

Each contract is actually a unique hash. The signers control which hashes are associated with their accounts and each account is secured with a private key.

Architecturally, we think this is a superior model for private contracts.

Great move. We all need digital signature. Just signed up but there is no mention of public beta.

That's true -- no mention of public beta as the objective is to secure feedback but not to scare away people from executing documents on the platform. We have started to use it internally for contract writing as of this week after 2 years of Docusign. So far so good.

    Thanks.

Just remember to save your private key. If you lose that, we cannot open your documents for you. This is more like the way a Blockchain wallet works. Your private key is essential!

That is where this is all going -- Single Sign On across the domain industry federation. It is all just about to come online and all connected to Masterbucks 2.0 cloud wallet that kicks ass.

You can see an example of how it works by logging in at SignDeck.com and then going to DNProtect.com, TrustRatings.com, or PetitionBook.com, for example. The whole federation is taking shape here:

    https://www.epik.com/about/labs/

And it will extend to partner organization as well, e.g. there is even a plug-in for Xenforo which is what NamePros uses so that you can single-sign-on across domaining use-cases.

We would like to see parking companies paying out in Masterbucks so that domainers can use parking proceeds commission-free to pay domain expenses.

The integration of SignDeck is in recognition that many domain transactions are being done with bad documentation for protecting buyer and seller in the event of dispute or future problem.
