@CJ6 I bought a couple. They are priced reasonably and there are probably hundreds of thousands of businesses that end in Group, so I like it.

I believe .group is very powerful. In the context of investment, management, government, initiative, direction, planet is preferable to .com. I followed my intuition and invested:
  • Earth.group
  • USA.group
  • Bank.group
  • Merger.group
  • Money.group
  • and over 250 more.
Do you care to see the entire list?

Very nice! I'd love to see a list sometime.

Who has plans to throw their group domains on GoDaddy Auctions? I believe we will be able to in a few weeks. I plan on it.

Where did you hear this?

I will certainly do it as soon as it's allowed.

I only have one...BOA.group

Hoping to receive offers for it. Not really marketing it much.

It was just an assumption on my part...getting close to 60 days.

.Group tagline
Is there an established tagline for the .group tld? If not, we should perfect one.

Greenstone.group sold for $6k at Sedo. The only reported .group sale.

How do you price an unknown gtld? I like to think I have some decent keywords that I registered on the first few days, but I really don't how to price them. And .group only has 1 sale on Namebio right now, so I find it hard to use that.

Some of mine: Stocks, cigar, cigars wines, xxx, hardcore, 4x4, pot, weed, investing, singles, and a few more that I can't think of right now.

Unknown, indeed: .group has a little over 7k registrations - https://ntldstats.com/registry/group/Donuts-Inc.
It can use some success stories. They will come.

Bot estimators include the word "group" when figuring out search engine results or cost per click for the exact phrase. So you could research the domain name value for <name>group.com and figure that your <name>.group would be worth about the same if not more. That might work for a relatively fast sale.

If you're in no rush, for the words that fit naturally before "group", one can argue that the .group extension is at par or even more powerful than .com and that, after .group will be known to the public at large, the <name>.group will be close in value to <name>.com. The challenge is to figure out how much is the <name>.com domain name worth, since probably all are developed web sites and their appraised value includes content, Alexa ranking etc.

Here is an example for Advertising.Group that I own (from estibot.com):
chrome_2016-08-08_18-36-49.png

Because I am willing to wait, I ended up setting a retail price of $12,000 for Advertising.Group (entertaining offers of $3,000 or more). For the right buyer, that is most likely underpriced.

Advertising is a great one! Wish I thought of it. :)
Good luck with selling it.

Bad news everyone, I just spent 30 minutes with GoDaddy Support asking about .group domains in the GoDaddy Auctions. Ultimately, this is their answer...

"I checked on your Auction but sad to say, .group will not be available anytime soon. There's no turn around time for this one because gTLDs like .group is considered as "high value" by the registry itself. Though GoDaddy is trying to have this issue resolved, like I have said, there's no turn around time yet. You can list the domain though at Afternic.com because there are not the same restriction."

Looking at my post above, I wish I asked more questions, but I didn't have time.

Why is .group consisted high value by the registry? Is it even considered high value or just new gtlds? Why does it mean GoDaddy Auctions are not currently possible? I'm certainly feeling like it's not as high value.

What are your thoughts?

I don't even understand what this classification of "high value" means in the the first place.
