How much are .cc domains worth ? Just wanna know

Congratulations! I am always glad to see .CC sales. I like .CC, but I admit I am reluctant to invest too much into it, due to uncertainties about its potential for sales. So it is encouraging to read news such as the one you just posted. Curious to see how the name will be used.

Thanks Tribulatio. The buyer seems to be reseller to me because currently the domain is redirected to a page where he has listed all of his other .cc domain names. I could also see that he own Plane.cc by matching both Plane.cc and Airplane.cc whois.

I see: a Chinese buyer. We know that they have a long-standing interest for .cc name, and that they are somewhat popular in China as an alternative to .cn. (It makes even more sense due to the fact that the .CC registry is not under Chinese government control.)

I already got Chinese offers for .CC names. One was actually very attractive... but it didn't conclude finally, for reasons I do not know (communication with the prospective buyer, who had a nearly non existent command of languages other than Chinese, didn't help, to be sure!).

I'm jumping in the .CC, hey never thought I would. Also for me it have no value but since I saw that generic with demend can be interesting and an expired .cc got my attention.

I also check all cctlds to see if domains taken and YES was.
So got Boutique dot cc
I'm also a web developer and can see a nice ecomerce site on.

If shop.cc sold in 2010 for $2,000.00 and shops.cc for EUR580 then should get some value in boutique

Type in .cc, click "ends include extension", then click the Search button.
After that, click "Secure this domain" to find out the estimated drop date.

I have no idea about .ws because I am not into that ever.

As far as .cc is concerned I am sure there is nice value if it's a popular city/state like LasVegas, California, NewYork, etc.

Thanks for the opinion. I have yet to find too much of anything on the forum regarding .WS, but I do notice there are pretty great names available in both WS and CC. With the right codes, the prices are pretty affordable as well, though both seem to be more successful as development extensions, which keeps me from investing in them at the present time.

I am interested in a value comparison between .info and .cc in particular.

What do you think? .info is more valuable, but by a factor of 3? Or 2?
