HappyDay and CoreyG, thank you kindly for your input!! I registered with GoDaddy using a 10% off coupon code.

I have opened up an appraisal thread to try to evaluate the domain in case an opportunity comes up before I develop it. Feel free to check it out, http://www.namepros.com/domain-appraisals/584903-cc-domain.html

Do you guys know if 4.cn is a reliable place for me to sell some names?

4.cn is reliable, but on there 90%+ are chinese, english words may not be very popular, so... it's hard to say the sale price will be good or not. short domains will be better, good luck. :imho:

I've got hydro.cc if any one is interested... just read in another thread that domainmonster are marketing .cc as an alternative choice.. whats the thoughts here is it going to come back in to focus a little more?

I'm personally thinking its just godaddy trying to rinse ever keyword they can but would like to here others views.

What do you mean by "British Letters"? What people find it easier to type numbers? I know a lot of people that don't seem to have a problem with letters.

He most likely means english letters, like, the language you are typing in, as opposed to those that use letters with added dashes, dots, etc, or entirely different symbols altogether.

Although all recognized languages are different in their respective ways (and even different dialects within those languages), numbers are universally known. This is why a lot of chinese and other asian domain names have numbers in them.

NL and LN .cc domains are struggling to sell for $100, there are very few LL .cc names I'd pay that for.
The lack of sales data may indicate that the holders of LL.cc domains have either unrealistic price expectations (or are holding to develop/already developed)

Probably means 'Roman Letters' :)

Okay, time to revive this thread a bit in a selfish way! I found a couple of geo .CC's that are searched over 4 million times a month with hundreds of millions of search results. After typing that last sentence I probably answered my own question, but I am looking to hear thoughts on the current market and if such an investment, in your opinion, is worth while.

LONG LIVE THE .CC!!

Well, it depends on how you plan to develop them. A .cc that's developed well can get traffic ... but don't buy a .cc just to try to flip it for big bucks. (Right now, .cc keyword domains like these are sitting in the $5+regfee section of TDNAM: Receipt, VideoStore, Diaper, FreeCreditScore, BathingSuit. So the market isn't valuing them too highly right now.)

Nice!

Okay, now that the registration is done, I registered Oriental//cc. I feel pretty good about this hand reg!

Thanks for the input randomo! Not too sure what I'm going to do to develop it, but I have no problem hanging onto this for an extended period of time!

I just bought jail.cc expiring on GoDaddy.com. Not sure if this was a good thought or not. It seemed like a good one to park...being new to the whole process though who knows.

If it wasn't for Bing, I would have guessed the buyer to be Microsoft. :O

Good luck Sir! :tu:
