People are beginning to realize that extensions like .CC, .BIZ, .WS, .TEL, .PRO, .MOBI, .SC, .TV, are the ghetto domains of the Internet. If you want to run a business in the projects these TLDs are the ticket.

If you're thinking of starting a business in the projects, how about Project.Pro for the domain? The Pro is repeated in the keyword and extension, it's 1 word, easy to type and remember, and alot snappier than the inferior wannabe site names you get on the first page of Google for the search Project Pro.

projectpro.co.za
projectpro.org.uk
projectprocorp.com
projectproextreme.com
projectpro.com
wagnerprojectpro.co.uk

15,389 US trademarks with the word Pro in and counting, more than any other extension. Lose some letters and get yourself a proper online brand.

Two letter .cc's are worth money, and popular keywords are worth money.
I think the extension also works well if your company, business, or keywords
have two C words in it, like "Car Company, Credit Card, Classic Cars".

Live.cc sold for $10,000 this month at Sedo. Looks to be the highest recorded sale.

The .CC extension is great for development.

FANTASTI.CC is one of the top 2,000 websites in the world.
It's an adult porn community website.
U.S. Traffic Rank: 1,017
Alexa Traffic Rank: 1,651
Apparently gets 250,000+ views a day.

Anyone know any other popular developed websites using the .CC extension?

I just won MIND / cc at GoDaddy Auctions. It had 2 bids on it, not sure why they didn't just
click the BUY IT NOW button, it was only $5. I paid $21.99 (total price) for it. Used the "downforce" coupon which saved me $3 off.

.cc's are only $16.99 with the coupon "downforce" at GoDaddy. You can get them cheaper than that if you buy them in bulk and use a 25%-30% off coupon. I do feel the price is the reason why there are still many good ones left. If the price came down to $9.99 or lower, more people would buy them.

Sold .cc names from September and August:
Chien / $150 / Sep. 9th / Sedo
Laptop / $460 / Sep. 9th / Sedo (Was bought on Bido.com for $80 on Aug. 21st. Nice flip!)
Italy / $1,005 / Sep. 9th / GoDaddy
Foot / $500 / Sep. 9th / Sedo
Norway / $200 / Sep. 9th / Sedo
Pasta / $80 / Sep. 9th / Sedo
Jets / $70 / Sep. 9th / Sedo
Korn / $70 / Aug. 9th / Sedo
Lesbian / $70 / Aug. 9th / Sedo
Jim / $70 / Aug. 9th / Sedo
Rude / $60 / Aug. 9th / Sedo
Films / $140 / Aug. 9th / Sedo
Drop / $102 / Aug. 9th / Bido
Live / $10,000 / Aug. 9th / Sedo

The 2 bids meant that 2 persons have already clicked on the BUY IT NOW button and decided not to go through with the checkout process.

Highest recorded sale for .cc domain was Beauty.cc for $100,000 some years ago

Never been confirmed. Anyway, there are no other known sales in that range.

Still hard to believe. I see that it redirects to countryhomegifts.com
Also, when you purchase a domain name for $1 million why put up a site that looks so amateurish.

Domain creation date: 07 Oct 2003

So obviously, the domain was dropped and who in the right mind would fork out $1 million dollars for a domain and drop it 3 years later.

Dubious sale right from the start.

Nonetheless, I had some success with .cc so if you're holding on to a quality keyword, I'll just hold on to it or work on development. :D

I've been trying to sell tlds dot cc in the low $xxx range for ages, and although almost every extension for it is taken, there have been no offers at all. Is the domain really that bad? It makes me lose confidence in investing in this extension :(

michigan.cc / 11 hours left / no bids
minnesota.cc / 4 Days 10hours / 1 bid

2 states listed at GoDaddy Auctions for bids. Starts @ $10 for each (+ $19.99 for additional year / Use coupon "downforce" to save $3.00)

Tlds dot cc, i'd say it's not that great of a keyword, a domainer might like it, but I only see it as a Low $xx name.
