Definitely is a vanity extension... This is why DEVELOPMENT is key, folks! Develop your .cc's if you want the extension to gain more traction

Not much. There were a few available in the TDNAM firesale auctions last week with only a few hours to go.

I purchased one a few months back here for $10 and it was the area code for the place I live.

Yeah there's one for sale right now at Go Daddy/TDNAM auctions. I was thinking about buying it..but after a little research, I'm not going to. I see that they're not really worth anything

I will say that I believe that it has helped me get a few more job interviews when the hr persons see the instantly recogizable local area code as an email address. I started to get at least 3x as many confirmations to my resumes as soon as I started to use it as an email addy. So I guess there is some vanity/end-user value but very limited.

I agree 100%. which is why I look for "vanity" titles, like chocolatier.cc, which would make for a nice website for a serious chocolates shoppe.

Other generics I have candies.cc and chocolates.cc and chocolatecandy.cc.

That's about it as the extension so far seems limited to the generic vanities.

I think that domain is the perfect example of how disenfranchised with this extension the industry is.

How much would you pay for that in a .me or .tv or heck even a .tel?

The reason I ask is because that particular domain has been in TDNAM twice in the last two years. Last year it made it all the way to the firesale.

How much would you say a short dictionary word of, let's say 6 letters, and I
don't know - maybe this word could be something that can be served in a meal
and would contain lots of protein and maybe some omega-3s. :blink:
Would a .cc like that be worth more than reg fee on the reseller market?

What is the typical value or sales price of a 2L.cc domain?
I'm looking at a LL.cc domain right now in which I want, and the seller is talking sh:t. He's trying to condemn me in paying a high price, in which he's being stiff about.

I tried to search for recent sales using both Namebio and DN Sale Price but came up pretty empty. The only recent sales I could find were:

Certainly not enough data to make any sort of conclusion about where the LL.cc market is at, nevermind a particular LL.cc...

I think you may have more luck getting a satisfactory answer in the ccTLD Discussion forum where there are probably more domainers invested in .cc. If you'd like it moved there, please feel free to pm me and I'll get it moved there for you.
