OfficialDomainAppraisal.com - Appraisal Feedback Please :)

Hello, I am somewhat new to the domain game but have found a few available and purchased that I believe are worth a good penny (after doing my research). Additional opinions and help would be highly appreciated though for this one here. To start, I will be very broad, what do you think this name is worth? They always say a domain is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it, but that is obvious to me. All the appraisal sites including the ones you have to pay a fortune for even seem to be outrageously incorrect (either extremely low estimate or extremely high so that you get happy about it). Sedo brings in 3+ mil monthly in this industry and I believe that even with the name i have here if it were close to Sedo, Estibot, etc, on search engines that a clicker would have more confidence clicking it first because of the legitimate keywords Official Domain Appraisal. Anyways, I suppose I'm supposed to leave some room for everybody else's $0.02 ;)

What do you think!?

You've spelt Official wrong.

Reg fee for this one

I assumed you just spelt it wrong in this post though, as it appears OfficalDomainAppraisal.com is still available.

As for the correct spelling, I think it needs development to add value to it as it is quite long and I don't think adding official really adds value.

Well that's a bit embarrassing, I'm still trying to decide whether to blame it on the beer or the keyboard. Yes it was just misspelled in the post, I have the correct spelling domain. IMO I don't believe it is that long of a domain name, longer than average, but, the keywords are straight forward and in order as someone would type it in a SE. Maybe after realizing that a lot of domain appraisal sites are not the appraise they were wanting to see so they would search for a more "official" appraisal site.

Yes, a product first normally always adds value, but I am just curious as to the domain name right now.

it's indeed a reg fee name without development. Sorry, but to me,it looks a bit spammy. I agree with the previous poster that the word 'official' is not adding value to the domain.

Well that comes off as a bit harsh, spammy. I hate spam and am completely against spam promotion. It just makes the name/company look bad. Maybe I need to redirect the question to do many people attempt to create their own appraisal sites with good appraisals? Should I attempt to sell it to a specific company that is already developed and successful with appraisals? Also, what exactly does regular fee mean? $15, $200, $1000? I'm obviously new to namepros, thanks for your feedback.

Reg fee = registration fee
why don't you develop the domain....

domain appraisal has some good search with medium competition....

there are some free/paid domain appraisal or website valuation scripts available...

even you can develop your own auto domain appraisal script....manybe one day you will be the best domain appraisal site....:)

Appreciate the advice with a confidence booster! good stuff. I wouldn't have a problem with that at all, actually, I rather put my own hard work into it and make it a good investment rather than this "registration fee" concept.

I don't want to kill the thread completely and still want to get more opinions on this name value, but, now on the search for a domain appraisal program script that is most accurate. So, where do you trust most with a domain appraisal (rather than forums/blogs/etc) that has a script I can implicate on my site?

Please don't develop it. The internet does not need another novelty domain appraisal tool.

If you were to develop an appraisal tool an exact match keyword domain or a catchy brandable would be the way to go, but, again please don't build a domain appraisal site.

If you are interested in developing a domain start with something you know. Why build a site about domain names when you admit that you are just learning about domain names?

Add something unique to a topic that you have some knowledge in and you greatly increase your chances of success when developing.

You have to think long and hard about "official" an how impossible it would be to stand up to that "claim", i dont think i would own an official anything domain (np threads yes lol). I would go so far to say you cant sell it for regfee goodluck

Everybody has to start somewhere, right?

I suppose saying that i was somewhat new to domain name auctions left lots of room for people to take their big mighty step in and act as if there is no place for me in it at all.

Continuing with the topic/help instead of coming to a complete halt like some of these replies are attempting to do, Uniqueness of-course is what makes anything stand out, so, with that being said; who has some unique thoughts on a creative vision for OfficialDomainAppraisal.com ?

Ever though of it not necessarily being a typical appraisal script site but a forum site somewhat like were all using right now. Me continuing to speak on this is just mind-jogging and finding the right way to use it. Thanks.

That OFFICIAL seems to make it sound like one of those paid appraisal sites that are used in the emails of people who say they will buy your domain for a big price, but first must have an official appraisal.

Really, I have to agree, that as I stopped using so called appraisal sites some time back, that the internet does not need another such site.

For sure, if you put this domain on auction, either here or sedo? You may get your reg fee back.

You are the Official Johname, incidentally OfficialJohname.com is available to reg or you could pick up the less authoritative johname.com
