Today I received a second email from Uniregistry claiming that I have registered with them and asking why I haven't yet added any domains to my "account". I have never registered with Uniregistry.

Is anyone else getting similar emails? Are they just trying to bait me to use their company?

Never used them before. It is possible that they are trying to "bait" or "persuade" you to use them. Basically perhaps they are trying to raise their brand awareness. Whatever it is, Uniregistry looks like a decent company for now (only time will tell)

Even though people know I have a high loyalty to a Uniregistry, my character of having higher ethos is greater and I would admit if I were receiving such emails. I have about 3-5 alias email addresses I use on open (and private) whois (to help sort offers better), I've checked them all for "Uniregistry". Not one has an email invitation, though one does have a Transfer Request Authorization from back in June, so I would suspect they would hit that email up first. One who transfers a domain away, must have more they could bring in themselves, right?

No haven't yet received any email. One of my customer had transferred a domain to them.

All I can think is maybe I bought a domain that had been parked with one of their companies by the previous domain owner. I still don't think this is a likely scenario. I don't know much about Uniregistry or the companies and/or registrars they own. Not a big deal, was just curious.
