I would like to purchase the domain name flab.com but have not received a response from the company that owns it AND it seems (from their website) that they are not selling their domains but would rather keep it as a 'sponsored advertisments' page...

Would it be worthwhile writing a letter and sending it to the company with an offer? If so, what would you think it is worth? flab.net has been asking for 10 000 EURO for a while now with no takers (sedo.com), but do you think there is much hope in flab.com being sold? The company is reflex.com (reflex publishing)

Best Regards, 2012

More than likely the 10,000 EURO is their initial offers as to which they won't consider anything under not their fixed flat price. Also it being a publishing company they probably have no intention to sell unless some higher five figures come into play.

being that the name is parked, my guess is that you will not hear back until your number is in range of acceptance.

My guess is you will need to make a substantial 5 figure offer before you get a reply. Do not bother playing any games or writing much of anything. Just send email to admin contact with the following subject: Flab.com - $xx,xxx offer for the domain. Replace xx,xxx with dollar amount. Put your real name, email, and phone in email. If no reply, resend email with larger offer in a few weeks. Nothing else will work.

Hello. Thanks for your replies, you really make some great points on what I should do but I fear that I might have aimed too high to get a domain like this :(

With a lot of domain names, they are often simply not for sale and this is the case with Flab.com . They have stated via Whois "Not For Sale" Flab.com - Flab .

If you offered a couple Million USD... they may or may not change there mind ;)

Don't get set on only one name. Try flabby or something else. If you're willing to spend 10k, you'll find something just as good or better.

Agreed. Some domain owners just refuse to sell names. Others keep their names on auto-renew, and ignore any sort of contact, making it almost impossible to acquire a name you want.

You either have to wait for it to expire and try your luck in the drop auctions, or find another name. With a decent budget, I'm sure you can find a similar name for sale.

Hello. Unfortunately there was no reply to any offers, I think they want to keep it :(

Not looking for flab.biz or flab.net (which is also for sale)...

Ah well, thanks for your help :)
