NP opinion

its just my personal opinion. i think it is done in the forum.i am quite not sure, but i am going to say it anyway.
For a lot of us, or just maybe me NP are earned through quite hard work: you have to participate daily, join discussions and etc.., so NP value should be greater.
But private sellers of NPs - those who sell NPs for bargain, bring down the value and also makes participating and earning through hard work pointless, as i can go to someone and buy NPs who is selling for lower than exchange rate.

I suggestion is not allowing people to sell NPs for bargain. This way NP value is not degraded. The store should be the only place where NPs are exchanged for real currency. This way NP value will be preserved and lot lowered.

i also have dozens of other suggestions that would help the forum, but some of them might be thought as ridiculous like stock NPs, but anyway i am going to shut my mouth until the right time.

This was the exact reason the NP bank was created and put on the same page as the NP exchange. The bank is there to guarantee that you NP will always have a minimum value.

It's memeber-to-member transactions that will ultimately set the going value of a NP$.

Actually NP value has increased as I see it, and I like that.

1000 NP used to mean a Name Reg
today 500-600 Is a new reg.

Bingo.

As RJ stated, since the "NP$ Exchange" was launched ... we have been encouraging folks to post within that setting, for the orderly, supervised, and market-driven exchange of NP$'s. Even perceived "Quick Sales/Buys" should be posted in there as well ... certainly, if one wishes to sell in this manner, they may ... and it'll likely get scooped up quickly if below the current "market range" (Low Offer - High Bid).

My suggestion would be dont let people doublepost. Its a bad way of earning NPS, there is a edit button right there....

I wrote a script to deal with this, its in vbulletin.org moderator functions database. It proved to be quite helpful at vgcity.com

You may also "Rate Post", as well ... bottom left of each post within a thread. This automatically adds one NP$ (thumbs up) or subtracts one NP$ (thumbs down) to/from the poster. It was meant to give the membership more control in "rewarding" for quality and helpful posting. Double posts, or meaningless posting could be discouraged from this system, as well.
I've left MANY a "thumbs up" and continue to do so ... fortunately, I haven't had the occasion or felt the necessity to leave but a very few "thumbs down" (I think one was even for me)! :p
I know this has been brought up before ("Rate Post" feature), but I thought it was worth revisiting here quickly, IMHO.
