NP$ Banking: Free Saving / CD account?

I thought of a hefty feature for NamePros.
If you have a couple of thousands of NP$ you can invest them in a CD or savings account to get % on it.

Say you have 3,000 np$ to invest. You can put it in a bank for 2% monthly or a CD for 3 years for 80% return. In the meanwhile, -RJ- can use them to invest into businesses that'll return even more profit. Therefore, it'll be like online banking: both parties profit :hehe:

What do you think?

The bank idea has been brought up several times before, but you put a interesting spin on it that could make it work. I do wonder if investing with NP$ would be considered real investing in the eyes of the law?

In the eyes of the law it would be as it is still a medium of exchange.

I had a thought, maybe it doesn't even need to be RJ who invests it, but maybe chosen NP'ers who can use it to invest....

Shouldn't the value of NP$ be determined by the real monetary value RJ give it in the currency rates of NP$? If so, when deposited into Namepros bank, how will RJ be able to exchange the NP$ in the purchase of an investment into real monetary value to the seller who is not a member? Will the seller accept it? I feel that this only benefits the members since they can use NP$ for domain registration etc. But to benefit Namepros itself, we need to think of how NP$ can be used in real investments.

well it could be traded for cash at the exchange, then you could be able to use it in real investments.this is a good idea but i think that dependiong on how much money you put in the bank should determine the interest rate you get, so like -1000NP$ would get you like a 0.5% interest rate and then when you get past 100 it jumps to like 1.0% then at 2000 its like a 1.5% interest rate etc. etc. does anyone get what i meen?

I agree with you on that one.

I thought of the idea once before (just a savings...) but this would affect it like you said.
