Opening an account and going to put up Channel Local and Local Experts ads.

The ads show up right on the front page of CBS Channel 2 in Chicago. Don't know about the other markets.

In the past I had to cut a deal with WorldNow to get this type of placement. Its nice to see that the CBS took a page from Google and Yahoo and allow direct self-service ads for marketing professionals.

Smart move by CBS. Hopefully NBC and ABC follows suite.

$2.00 a click to get on MSNBC. $.50 a click to get on the city sites like CBS 2 Chicago

This is becoming a popular concept. One company tied together all the major wedding web sites and you can do PPC on there. AdWords is facing vertical competiton for its content business.

That actually is not bad per click on those sites. Surprising.

Very interesting stuff - will have to test this on some US client sites in 2008!

Thanks for sharing!

I'm starting a test in the next 48 hours with them. I've already signed up, just need to put in the campaigns.

Just hit our busy season and I have 5-10 channels being tested trying to 3X our ad budget this year. I was on CBS2 Chicago and noticed the links. I thought they were Quigo placements.

Good news likes company; today I got an email about a like service --but for DIY streaming media ads distributed to online Radio stations. (video to come later, from what I'm told).
