Official thread for all things NotRenewing.com don't let your domain name expire without trying first.

Domains must be at least 24 months old and expiring within 12 months. Paid plans include young domain slots that let you list domains under 24 months — the number of slots depends on your tier. There is one submission form for everything: add any domain and we check its age for you, using a young domain slot automatically when it is under 24 months old.

Listings stay active until your domain expires. You can relist for free if your domain doesn't sell.

The free tier includes 25 listing slots. Paid plans are billed monthly and include more slots and young domain slots:

  • Starter — $5/mo: 50 listing slots, 5 young domain slots
  • Growth — $12/mo: 150 listing slots, 15 young domain slots
  • Pro — $25/mo: 300 listing slots, 25 young domain slots
  • Business — $49/mo: 600 listing slots, 60 young domain slots
  • Enterprise — $99/mo: 1,000 listing slots, 1,000 young domain slots
All plans activate immediately. Cancel anytime.

@Sully, any current data on views correlating to sales?
Yes, just ran it. Views do predict sales, but weakly per listing and strongly in aggregate.

Cleanest test: views in a listing's first 7 days, then whether it sold in the 30 days after that week — so the buyer's own pageview can't contaminate the result. 26,118 listings since March, 148 sales:

• 0 views in week 1 → 0.36% sold
• 1 view → 0.95%
• 2-3 → 1.11%
• 4-6 → 1.97%
• 7-12 → 5.08%

So any views at all is about 3.7x a dead listing, and it climbs steadily up to roughly a dozen views. Statistically solid, but the per-listing correlation is only r≈0.06 — views shift your odds, they don't promise a sale.

Site-wide conversion is steadier: 1 sale per ~82 views over the last 90 days (45,674 views → 555 sales), 1 per 80 over the last 30.

The number that actually matters though: 79% of listings get zero views in their first week. Listings that have ever been viewed sell at 5.0%; ones that never have, 0.26%. The bottleneck isn't conversion, it's exposure — which is why we shipped a batch of homepage discoverability changes today.

Two caveats so nobody over-reads it: there's no bot filtering on view counts, and your own views of your own listings don't count while you're logged in.

And in a true act of 🇺🇸 patriotism, Sully has placed .si ahead of .ai, second only to .com.

Today we sit down with @Sully from NotRenewing, to answer a question that has quietly circulated through the NamePros community for a long time.

Sully, welcome, and thank you for being here.

A name tells people what you do, but a logo tells them who you are.

So we have to ask:

What is the story behind the NotRenewing logo?

Who came up with the very first idea, and what exactly sparked it? How many drafts, sketches, and late-night revisions did it take before it finally felt right?

Was there a moment when you were convinced it was done, only to tear it all down and start over? And was there ever a point where you almost went in a completely different direction, one that would have changed the face of NotRenewing forever?

I thought about crafting a crazy backstory for you here, but the real version isn't much of a story. I tried a couple of versions. I was looking for something that had an "X" over it to symbolize Not Renewing. I didn't really like any of them, and then I went for a simpler look. This was all in the span of an hour :xf.wink:

@Sully,

CC: @Atom.com

What percent of listed names have logos?

And is there any data showing correlation between logos and sales?

Thank you, Agent.

I reviewed the entire .si domain list for likely spelling mistakes, including missing letters, extra letters, transpositons, and unusual spellings.

I found 5 strong candidates and 9 additional names worth checking.

(Edit: a crosscheck reveals that NotRenewing's AI has different standards of flagging names than above mentioned agent.)

.si - 569 domains
.ai - 17 domains
.io - 129 domains
.app - 61 domains
.co - 187 domains
.net - 217 domains
