domain noticias.in my dispute with sedo

hello guys,
I ask support for appraise noticias.in,
currently i'm in strong disagreement with the assessment of sedo,

I didn't used auto evaluators with biolionaire assessments,
only my common sense and these reasons for the estimate...
please tell me what you think by experts:

- tld . in maybe not good but the others TLD whith this term are registered so i think is a good thing
- Length - relatively short, 8 letters, easy to remind,
- globaly searches, noticias has 2.740.000 exacltly montly search (i used the adwords keywords tool),
- recent sales - sedo told me that the "exotic" extention .in have a negative impact on the final price, they listed this recent sales to justify the appraisal:

messages.in 750 $US 2010
finlandia.in 500 $US 2011
dimensions.in 250 $US 2011

Ok but they forget this sale "Domains.in" $40,000 sold on Sedo 5/8/13 (dn journal sales report)....

Considering that "domains" have about 33.100 exacltly globaly searches (ok only 7 letters) i think is right to estimate noticias.in in a range from 10.000 USD to 20.000 USD

So in you opinion i'm westing money because i didn't understood anything about this market or...

Automated appraisals are worthless.
You have a Spanish keyword in the ccTLD of India. Do they speak Spanish in India ?
I don't think so.
Of course, .in is used outside India as well but there is nothing remarkable about that domain.

Fundamentally, the keyword doesn't fit the TLD well.

The term is quite strong but the extension takes away all the value.It doesn't matter how good your domain is if you don't pick up the right extension. $0

you cant compare "Domains.in" to "Noticias.in" in any meaningful way.. dependless on how many letters each of them consists of (how does it matter i cant see either)

Domains is a prime business English term, and English is an official language in India everyone (well, everyone who can afford a domain name) speaks/undestands, widely used and growing.. hence Domains.in is a top quality estate with huge (considering population, economic growth, internet penetration rates etc) commercial potential, money maker for years to come..

Noticias is a Spanish word, as sdsinc pointed out you would have a challenge finding Spanish speaking people in India.. rendering the name pretty much useless.. and worthless

Sedo might be wrong every now and then in selecting names for their Great auction events but in this case i'm totally with them..

Exact searches is a good thing. Know how many people in India search for "Noticias" monthly? 160 to 320 according to Google Planner for last 12 months ..


my 2 cents appraisal: $0 to regfee to reseller, no end-user value.. sorry

Domains is a prime business English term, and English is an official language in India everyone (well, everyone who can afford a domain name) speaks/understand, widely used and growing.. hence Domains.in is a top quality estate with huge (considering population, economic growth, internet penetration rates etc) commercial potential, money maker for years to come..

Again, it's an automated appraisal so it is worthless. This domain is worthless until sold. Because an appraisal is always an optimistic extrapolation. That doesn't mean the domain has a buyer and liquid value.
