Not sure what to do...

I own a VBulletin lincense and wish to start a forum. Thign is I am not sure what I want to do.
I owned a domain(it expired) and ran a forum with boards for "everything" basicly. It didnt go anywhere very fast. I had maybe one or two members who were active almost daily. SO I guess that type of forum is out of the picture.

I thought about making an adult forum but then I cant run adsense. I also thought about a freebies forum but I dont believe it would get many members. Just not sure what I want to do. (

you can still run an adult forum, you can have AdBrite ads which is also good plus a number of affiliate programs... a good forum dedicated to XXX industry/domains is gfy (www.go****yourself.com)... there you can get a lot of pointers

Yeah but then you cant use the built in subscriptions in VB...

Plus adult = hard to advertise...

I undestood that... you can process subscriptions to your forum (irrespective of content) just don't SHOUT IT'S PORN

This domain name that you own (drunkandcrazy.com) has lots of promise. I'd build a forum/site around it. You could target the college/university crowd and make it a fun place for them to chat and play. There's several mods that you could integrate into the forum software such as a gallery, an arcade and so on.

Just a thought.

you'll be fine.. ffs go to google and do a search on vibrators or dildos and see on right hand site the AdWords fill-up...

I am leaning towards hotoffthewire.net or sitesponsors.net
But I think hotoffthewire.net is too long..
sitesponsors.net dosnt seem to me like it would get many users.

I have thought about just going with venomx.com, zurax.com, or rx2.net and then making a few forums for different topics then buying new domains and VB linc's to point to different sub forums.

You know something like namepros has done with namepros.com, webdesigntalk.net, and adultdevelopers.com

Thing about RX2.net is a search on Google for RX2 turns up 473,000 results but most if not all are for Mazda RX2

unless you'll have synergy between the forums to merge into one domain subforms I don't see why you'd do that
