Hi,

I found 26 domains I would like to buy.

They are all pass there expire date. Some are "Pending Domain Renewal or Deletion"

Is there a way to get them with before them loose there creation date?

If I wait until they are dropped what do I need to know about each domain so I can increase my time on "catching" them.

I have considered paying $69 on namejet.com (I did that for one of them) but I am not sure if that is the best way to get them.

thanks!

they will still lose the creation date after expired and picked up from backorder.

Anything in Pending Delete status will lose its creation date, there is no way around it.

How do you buy a domain before pending delete? Is the only way to get it from the owner?

You could buy them on pre-release auctions through NameJet or GoDaddy expiring auctions.

If you do it through NameJet the minimum price is $69. Is there any one else that does it for cheaper?

Is there some one I can chat with concerning this as it seems it take 2 days to post and get an answer via the forum. I don't mind paying.

That is not the same as redemption or pending delete. It normally applies to names registered with Network Solutions. They should be available for bidding at namejet.com.

I am looking to pick up around 20 plus domains before they drop as they are older and I want to keep their age. namejet seems to be a bit to steep at $69 per domain. Is there a better way to do this.

Not sure why you are asking the same question when the answers are right there?

Bob, you might wanna try getting in touch with NameJet or registrars to grab all the domains in bulk from them, however it aint a normal practice and you cant do much other then picking them up for listed price or once they have been dropped or deleted without any interest at the auction house.

If you really like old domains, look around here or on other forums, there are alot of ppl selling them for chump change :D and if you still want those old domains, then I think $59 isnt much per name.. I have few ;)

Where was the answer for the above question. I don't see where any one addressed that question?

I was asking if there is not a cheaper way to pick up expired domains via backorder so I don't loose the age on the drop. I know about namejet for $69. Now I have found snapnames for $59.

Are there other services where I can do this for cheaper?

Also does it depend on who the registrar is as to where I have to place the backorder or where the best place is to make the backorder?

BD:

I am being told if I put in a backorder before they go into the drop phase I can get them with out loosing the date.

So am I misunderstanding what you have noted above or did you misunderstand my question or was I given wrong information.

Not sure if there are any cheaper than the $59 - but cheaper isin't always better.

Is their a chance they would jut drop without anyone else backordering
them?...cause then you'll get them for reg fee...nothing's cheaper than that. :)

This might help with the questions about the dates

Yes but if they drop then I loose the age and I need to have the age.

From what is posted here, the age is or will be already gone at this stage.

That link I gave you, how close are the domains to the end of that cycle, roughly?

Just found this....

Domain names that go to auction with a "partnered" auction service will also "Hold" it’s creation date.
Domain names that go PendingDelete, get deleted and are captured, will have a creation date of when the domain is reregistered.

Yes I kind of figured that out also. Can you post the URL where you found that statement.

I have narrowed my list of 26 down to 10. 3 of them appear to be renewed by the owners. 1 had a persons full time in the domain so I dumped that one. Of the 10 left the expiration dates are from Mar 04 2010 to Mar 31 2010and the registers are Namesecure, ENOM, ENOM407, ENOM463 Tucows.

Now I need to know
1. WHEN should I back order them?
2. For these registrars' where do I put the order in for the backorder (ie. snapenames, namejet)?
3. What registrar will the names go to?
4. What other tips do I need to know to do this right?

2 are in redemptionPeriod and the rest are clientTransferProhibited. So looks like I missed these two by just a few days as the whois gives a date when it was updated. I guess it is 5 days for this time they get dropped.

They are both .com's.

The best way to go about catching them would be nice. I called pool.com and they do domain catching and I hear they are good?
