Ok, I've got a slight problem here and I'm hoping the NP community can help me.

I need to learn the basics of ppc. I understand it from a revenue generation point. That being, I put the adds on my site, and I make "x" per click through.

However, how does it work from the corporate side.

For example, I am a Poker site. How do i utilise ppc / cpm?

If you need more info, just ask and I'll give you as much as I can.

I'm looking from the perspective of the "ppc purchaser".

So if I am wanting to utilise ppc in advertising my site/company, how do i do this? Which are the top5 to use, why use them, how do you use them and govern the click through and rate etc?

How important are the routes to marketing from each of the companies that "propose" this?

Search results that are displayed on a pay per click search engine are displayed according to the bid amount.

Whoever bids the highest (cost per click) will have the highest listing.

The nice thing about pay per click is you can target specific keywords that are relevant to your site. Which means you only bring people to your site looking for your information.
