I've been working as professional freelancer since 2011. From 2014 I used website www.No1Freelancer.com for showcasing my portfolio to the customers of Elance/Upwork Freelancer, guru, many other freelance marketplaces.
I secured many jobs through this website from direct customers, upwork, Freelancer, guru customers, Facebook & Twitter clients etc. Also I provide hosting service as a "reseller" of hostgator so sometimes new customer who don't have any hosting account, they buy using my hosting packages.
So there is lot of potential for a freelancer to get the jobs and sell hosting as well.
