Wow, i must be living under a rock or something....i don't know how i missed this:

The Netscape Archive Official End of Support Given AOL's current business focus and the success the Mozilla Foundation has had in developing critically-acclaimed products, we feel it's the right time to end development of Netscape branded software. Read the history page for more details about this decision.

man oh man, end of an era....netscape was the first browser i ever did use to go on the internet. I remember the day... summer of 1995.....i was in my college's computer commons wasting time...when i see a funny icon that read 'Netscape"...i'm thinking what the heck is this? I double clicked the icon, and my world changed from then on out.

i don't know how i missed this news....maybe cuz i haven't been using netscape since their sucky 'communicator' came out lol...

:guilty:

I was a latecomer into the internet world so every time someone said Netscape I assumed they were talking about Firefox. :D

No, it was purchased by AOL....Which means that it sucks whether they made a version better than IE or FireFox anyway...lol
