Here's a potential heated debate for those of you intrigued with Tax laws, Economy, The Constitution, and the Government. Watch the video's below and you be the judge. Granted, some of these video's are from as far back as 2008 and the government may have rewritten the law to bypass the constitution. So maybe one of you can find that law & post a link to it.

If a bill is passed by both houses of Congress and signed by the President, it is the law.
The Internal Revenue Code was passed by both houses and signed.

All the details are here:

26 U.S. CODE § 6012 - PERSONS REQUIRED TO MAKE RETURNS OF INCOME
26 U.S. CODE § 6151 - TIME AND PLACE FOR PAYING TAX SHOWN ON RETURNS
"when a return of tax is required under this title or regulations, the person required to make such return shall, without assessment or notice and demand from the Secretary, pay such tax to the internal revenue officer with whom the return is filed, and shall pay such tax at the time and place fixed for filing the return"

It's voluntary like following the speed limit is voluntary. They don't put governors (speed limiting device, not the politician) in cars to make sure of it, and they don't seize your home and car on January 1st until you file your taxes.

I honestly believe people making this argument should lose their drivers license, be removed from the 911 system, and forfeit any claim to Medicare, Social Security or Unemployment Insurance. Some may welcome that, as they truly do want "off the grid". Good for them.

Here's what happens when you make taxes voluntary:

I agree with one commenter that said they should have put out the fire then sent a huge bill.

Don Quixote comes to mind.

Really, if you have the time and energy to fight that fight there are lots of other places that could use them. You might even get some positive reward instead of years of negativity.
