It took me some convincing, but I do see value in acquiring at least one NNN.io domain. Right now the LLL.io are selling quite a bit. But remember, LLL's have 19,683 combination whereas NNN's there are less than 1000. Ontop of that the Chinese want numbers right now more than letters, so there's more demand. $35 is a step reg fee, but I still recommend believers in NNN buy at least one and throw it in their portfolio for a year to see what happens.

There are currently 504 of 999 left to buy. Please see availability list below. The odd thing is that quite a few 4's and 0's have already been taken out. Not sure why anyone would leave the premiums and take the rest, but better for whoever is looking to reg some NNN's.

@Keith I think your advice is worth less than reg-fee, to be quite frank.

That's because you don't know any better. You'll register 10 NNN io and profit enough for a family dinner at McDonald's...maybe.

Jason posted earlier in this thread and with a wink said you shouldn't buy NNN io, instead buy a good io from him. He wasn't joking. That's a person that knows io like I wish I could. Stop and listen instead of assuming you know what's up.

It's not a bad idea to throw some words of caution into these kind of threads, but .io has had some good overall domain sales, and is fairly well recognized now at least among domainers and in tech circles. When you talk NN vs NNN, it's only 100 vs 1000 domains, total 1100 domains for each extension. Not really a big number of NN and NNN domains out there when you look at a world with billions of people and ideas.

People were hand regging domains in 2015 (not just .com) and selling them later in the year for $50 to $250 and up. That's what the market is like right now. Tomorrow all these NNN.io could be gone and double in price or more in 2016. Nobody really knows but some people decide to act on what they see going on around them.

@Keith You have companies like Google that are buying ridiculous strings of domains. Other companies upgrading all the time. Most domainers missed the boat for the most prized .com domains that have been so popular this year. You don't think Google could buy all those NN.io?

I just don't think it's cool to rain on anybody's parade. We are all speculators and who knows what will sell for sure. I would be willing to bet there have been sales of domains where the seller just had good timing or got lucky. They were not "professional" domainers. They just had a name someone wanted. Or had the foresight to register names that everyone else thought wasn't worth anything. Kind of like you Keith.

You shold know that : The biggst domain names trading market in China.
The Domain Digital Assets Exchange in China is developing rapidly, there are more and more domain names trading platform coming in the end of 2015, and there are more and more people join into the domains trading now.
Many Chinese investors like the short National domain names, PS: CC, CO·····
.IO domain name as the first choice for Internet entrepreneurs, in accordance with Chinese Internet + premier li keqiang's policy.
The NNN.io(with out 0.4 Total 512）Reg. 50% by Chinese now. It's a good signal .
In the next year, all kinds of domain name transactions will inevitably drive the country domains of appreciation, and letters short digital domain name will be very popular with Chinese investors.

Don't worry about your .IO domain name if you have a NNN and name 'LLL, or NN, LL,and so on.
you are winner.

As Jack pointed out I've been here almost a decade. Most members that take offenses to advice and/or can't recognize it, are usually gone within a year.

As few have mentioned buying premium domains at a level that your budget supports is a smart play. While I'm sure money can be made buying NNN that start with 0, the only one in that range that I would want is 007.io (but that one goes with out saying).

I absolutely agree. In the end, 0 and 4 don't matter and they can be profitable. It's just the same trend every time. 8's first, then 9 and 7, and eventually all numbers get bought up. I believe that at the rate the Chinese are going, all numbers and letters for every extension in NNN and LLL will become valuable, and likely most NNNN and some LLLL.

Even if you have LLLL.com with all vowels and NNNN.com with all 0 and 4, you'd still be cashing in a huge profit in a very short time frame.

Haha ok not EVERY extension. But all the short 3 letter or common terms like link, online, party.

I see animals like horse being popular if it was some sort of link to the zodiac or animal horoscopes for that year. But those would be very very short term buy/sell domains I think.
