Frickin Nightmare at Registerfly!

I had an investor that was going to buy an interest in 50 tier 1 names (big money), but wanted several of these baloney appraisals from Appraised.com (Registerfly/Unified Names). He didn't want an appraisal that was possibly skewed by an auction house. He paid for several appraisals that never arrived, and emails to support at the site were never answered after weeks.

Trying to hold up the deal after the frustration, I offered to pay for the "Instant Appraisals" reviewed by "Experts" on the RegisterFly homepage. How they could do the studies and actually "review" each of the names in the "1 Hour Guranteed" was beyond me, but that's what the investor wanted.

In 1 hour, I was bombarded with like 21 appraisals for each name, all with 0 information and all obviously machine generated without the promised "review by experts". That blew the investor out the door.

I tried the "Live help" several times with them just saying they "don't have any information" and "do not provide phone support" when I asked for a number. Emails to support were returned undelivered. Emails to Tim Shor (the supposed owner) were never returned after two weeks. Support tickets have not been responded to. Checking the whois on registerfly.com and unifiednames.com produces phone numbers that just answer with a recording and NO calls back after 2 weeks as well. Emails to the whois addresses are not responded to. Faxes have been sent to several different addresses in NY and NJ and Utah and California and with no replies to my phone #, fax # or email address.

I've got a sizable account with registerfly and this is how they provide their claimed 24/7 365 day support? Bull****!!

Now I'm pissed, and wondering if Registerfly is out of business? That's the only explanation I can figure.

I have had very good results with them. I would suggest contacting them at [email protected]. Never used their appraisals but overall I am pleased with their service

All the support emails are returned as undeliverable. You may have been pleased with the ease of pushing names between buyers, but just try to get support to help you with a problem. No answer for weeks from support tickets is inexcusable.

Never liked their so called Support, I pray I dont run into any more problems with them, I dreed having to contact them for anything, I think I only have 3 names there now.

Yea - I've been lucky w/ regfly - Hear Bad Stuff all the time -

With a few exceptions (idiots and people just being nice) I trust the appraisals here at namepros more than any that I've seen by "professionals" -

I've had pretty good luck with registerfly as the (reseller) registrar and at least feel like as an enom reseller, there is backup if something goes wrong. I don't feel that way with any of their side "businesses" like appraisals, namerenters, expirefish, etc. They all seem to be stepchilds that get no attention and have no experts. Great ideas that were never followed through.

I just noticed yesterday that shareasale.com, where registerfly's affiliate program is at has them "temporarily offline" as an affiliate program. That did make me start wondering if there is a problem or shakeup at RF.

Did he say specifically Appraised.com?

To tell you the truth, the RegisterFly Support is horrible. Some of their offers are alright but when you need something their not that reliable to go and help you out when you need it. I remember before just waiting for about and hour just for Support to say 'no' even though I didnt ask a question.

Tough break in my experiance they are a standup company try and email them again and let us know how it goes.

I never use appraisals from anyone, except appraisals in forums like this. All sites which appraise for money, gives fake appraisals. i used registerfly for appraisal of several of my domains which i registered on 2002. One such domain was xxx.vc. They appraised it for 8000$ which is not true. I stopped appraising with all similar sites after that.

Registerfly is excellant only in their domain registration business and they must stick only to it and close all their other services.
