hi,

thought this would be good to announce. Looks like it came out this morning.

A nice write up in forbes

Enjoy.....Well let me rephrase this...its good for .tv awareness and getting the extension out......we have other threads going and bad talking a lot on demand media-post there.

http://www.forbes.com/2007/12/14/ch...sonal-cx_rr_1217channel.html?partner=yahootix

finished reading the forbes write up piece......its nice..........GO VIDEO! 50 cent and a lot of groups and artists, movie stars and etc should help us out. Get the word out and be another way of bringing awareness out besides tnt.tv and justin.tv.

Beginning to wonder for over 6 months what the .tv area will look like in 5 years and I would love this ext to surpass the .net.

Fun times ahead people! As with anything there are risks! I am long, lol.

Forbes:
But the pair has struggled during the last seven months since ChannelMe.tv's launch to convince a critical mass of techies and wanna-be Web celebs to join up with them and stop relying on Google's (nasdaq: GOOG - news - people ) YouTube, MySpace, Facebook and countless other video-sharing venues. Those sites work pretty well, and they're free.

I did not know Bulldog wrote for Forbes I give you credit you have been saying that since day 1. Although I do not think they should pitch it like that. Domains cost $ and that is what the $25 is for, they should push the tools as a free option and not like it cost $25.

Rosenblatt: We didn't set out to create a site that would kill MySpace and YouTube. We're not going head-to-head.

True, but what are you doing ?

I'm just a contributor, my writing skills suck.....:)

My thought, since day one, is that it should actually look like this:

JoeBlow.channelme.tv=free site
joeblow.tv=$25.

If they build up enough free traffic, the paid for version will always follow along. It's simple business. hell, if nothing else, let people have free sites and charge minimal fees for upgrades: templates, forums, advertising.

Agreed :)
That would be an excellent idea to increase exposure to .TV.
