For the past two weeks there are a lot of inquiry about LLL.biz and NNN.biz and most of the thread starters are chinese.

Are they the next Chinese Trend? These names are still running cheap now and most of them are under $50 each.

May be someone wants to take a chance and accumulate them like LLLL.com?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Lets' this Show keep continue as US FED Gov, going to rise rate next year and will broke china market again so this is safe investment for them if they convince general Chinese investor to invest into this market, this will last little long before it crash.

Sadly to say that the .biz is not so welcomed in China when you visit Chinese domain forum.

Loose lips sink ships, the 'next trend' is already here.

If you look hard, you will find it - but you have to do the research. :xf.grin:

You can in fact be lazy about it, there will likely be a lot of posts about it probably within the next 4-6 weeks (or sooner) once the premiums in the namespace are bought out. After that, you know what happens...

There does seem to be a bubble dynamic in Chinese hosted COM/NET domain names at the moment.

There are markets opening up all over the world, with millions of potential domain buyers (investors, companies, individuals, etc). The supply of short domains in preferred extensions in comparison is small and finite.

Hi !
What do you guys think of .io when it comes to short/acronyms ?
I've heard that a lot of startups are going for .io. Could that extend to the Chinese market ?

Maybe Chinese premium LLL.io ??

Most of the activity is in com/net/org/biz. There's some in info. Also xyz and club seem to be seeing some registration volume. Best to stick with known TLDs for the Chinese market.

Quite a few 4-letter .biz CHIPS are being registered at the moment.

Yes it went from 71% taken to 86% taken between two days ago and yesterday. So, basically 23,000 were registered in that ~1 day period.

maybe simplified Chinese .com in Simplified Chinese script will finally get some traction.
VeriSign is rolling out .com (new gTLD translits) in Japanese .com, Arabic.com, Russian .com, Hindi.com etc. in 2016 pending ICANN not bending them over again.

You know this thing is a huge bubble waiting to pop when people start speculatively registering .biz domains.

Does anybody know what the record is for the most domains dropped in a calendar month, and any gambling site which will offer up odds on that record being broken in November 2016?

It was up around 40 million during domain name tasting. But this could equal some of the DotCOM bubble deletions.

The crazy prices chinese are paying for NNN.com and NNNN.com are making ONE KEYWORD coms look like a joke !! :)

Look at appreciation of NNNN.com, almost overnight, from $5k to $50k+. ONE WORD com investors, with the whole SEO thing and Keyword/CPC stuff, must now be mighty grieved at not have invested all in NNN.coms

To the rest of the world, anywhere where language is alphabet based and not pictographic like chinese, numeric domains probably have no significant value except maybe 1/2 number coms.

A lot of the regging is being done by Chinese investors who I think have a longer investment horizon than 1 year. Not sure if we'll see a lot of drops in a year.
