NewYorkGirl:
I certainly have no rep in the appraisal world, but I AM from the area and can offer a little insight. I can say I'm never heard anyone use the term "New York girl", similar to how "Jersey girl" is now used in a brandable way.
I see the best possibility for reaching end users for this domain being in small boutique-type shops in rural areas that market New Yorker styles. I can see being a 12 year old girl living in Oklahoma dying to buy that hip new outfit from "New York Girl"! Another less likely prospect would be to seek out independent fashion stores in MIDTOWN Manhattan that focus on Manhattan style. I emphasize "Midtown" since so many stores in the area are targeted to tourists, and I just don't see many ACTUAL new yorkers being interested in this phrase, IMHO. Maybe even try pushing to independent magazines- which there are so many of now- that focus on fashion. I really do think you'll get the best results with someone OUTSIDE of NYC though. Just my 2 cents.
I think if you go this route and research accordingly, you might get low $XXX. Otherwise, I don't see a whole lot of options.
Good luck!
