Hi Guys and Gals,

I have just started at this game and have a few names for appraisal:

donnanoble.com (new major doctor who companion for next season)

wokaroundtheclock.com (cooking/restaurant etc)

bandsthatrock.co.uk (weak early purchase)

thebestwebsiteintheworld.net (I think I was drunk!)

Please be gentle as I'm still a bit green :)

Cheers

Most of your domains are just TOO long, to be honest.
And some dont make sense, im sure thats because I dont know anything about the new major doctor!. Are you sure that it isnt a TM issue with the donna name?.

Anyho, I'd value them at regfee. Better luck next time, try to have two keywords max, or 3 if it suits it.

Cheers,
Andree

Im sure you will :).

I'd advice you to check mostly all the posts in the appraisal section, if you do that you'll easily figure out whats worth something and whats not!.

And remember, stick to .com names, there are offcourse good .net/org names too, but com's are always most valuable.

I wish you good luck and happy hunting,
Andree

the good .coms are ALL gone. Really, the ones with any type-in traffic potential or OVT results above 1000

I'd rather say that you build your base in some TLD. .cn and .in are hot right now...and nothing wrong with .org and .net too, as long as the keywords are strong.
Same goes for .co.uk

Thanks for the tips, kind of guessed that the .com scene was pretty tied up judging by some of the prices!

Will get sniffing around and see what I can find

All the best

Here's another approach....

Develop a website to fill a niche. Choose a name around the site (not the other way round). Make the website really good- aim to be the best site in that particular niche. Get loads of traffic to the site. Get money from adverts, sponsorship, members' areas, merchandise, etc.

I agree with the evaluations. For advice I would recomend .mobi

All are worth $0. Stick to buying names on the aftermarket and you will save yourself a lot of wasted money since all the decent regs have long been gone. Also dont just make up random stuff unless you have a development plan for it. Stick to names with some kind of OVT and google results.

Sorry to say, but they don't have any value. Most of them are also too long
