New variation of Ebay scam (very sneaky)...

I got an email today from "EBay" basically it was someone using the ask seller a question option saying that I better respond or they were going to report me. The red flag that was thrown up for me was that it went to an email address I don't even use (it landed in the catch-all email address for my domain). The thing was that all of the links looked real after a quick mouse-over, including the Respond now box. So I clicked on the Respond now box to see if it was real and it took me to http://sakura.nucleng.kyoto-u.ac.jp...rid=errmsg=usingssl-runame-iteid=0/SignIn.htm I put in some fake information for them to waste their time, but if I wouldn't have clicked on that link and if it would have been a real email address of mine I would have almost been convinced.

Just remember everyone whenever Ebay sends an email it includes your full name and your username. I don't click on links from real Ebay or PayPal emails, I always go in the long way (typing in the URL) just in case.

Gmail did not catch this as a spoof for once - It usually says "This email may not be from Who it appears to be" or some mess like that - If you enter this code into a html document - You'll see how good it really looked - :o

Yes, I received the same type of ask the seller a question message too. Just looking at the links you could tell it was a fake. Forwarded to [email protected]
