Hi MMG, welcome to the forum and to domaining.
There are many such names, and better, still avail to reg. That being said, I still find many of these kinds that get enough searches to pay their reg fee or a few times that, each year.
I think with your names, it'll depend on how much the traffic brings you. Just looking at them, and their Overture, right now I'd appraise at reg fee or only a little higher.
But I wanted to comment that you're headed in a good direction - so many beginners that can't afford to buy good existing names just reg 'inventive' names, thinking that others will love them the moment they see them; but selling names like that is a rarity, and you're doing much better by only regging a few of those kinds, and trying to build up a solid portfolio of small traffic names like this kind you've posted here.
With internet use growing hugely each year, small traffic this year means a little larger traffic next year, and so on, and so on... and 5 years from now your beginner's portfolio of names brings you enough income to live on each month.
At least, that's the process/theory many of us are using, and succeeding, on.
There are many, many ways to make $$ thru smart domaining, and your names show that you're using your head already. Stick around and you'll pick up a lot more tips.

What do you mean by 'inventive' names, how are they different to the ones he registered?

Inventive names are names that you dream up... they don't exist - at least, not commonly - in public use. Something like gameZinger or songFedaddle or pokerGooster... you're just hoping someone will think it's 'neat', brandable, and want to pay for it. It works sometimes, but these are a very uncertain and unstable percentage of sales. You can literally reg hundreds of these names and never get an offer and never make a dime off them.
MMG is trying for more defensible names... that is, you can easily defend and explain the reason for the reg; they're words that mean real products, services, processes, items, etc., and even if they don't get a lot of natural searches, they get SOME natural traffic - some people each month are searching for that specific term, and the hope is that they'll get enough searches, and clicks, to pay for the reg fee each year and make some profit on top. And that some person/business involved with that word may be interested enough to buy it, also.

My advice to you is read this forum for a couple of weeks. You'll learn tons of interesting info and save yourself $50-$100 worth of regs. I jumped right into the pool and wish I could take back some of my earlier names.

It seems that others have you covered on the appraisals but I did want to throw in some extra advice. When picking a domain name as an investment or for potential resale always keep but one thing in mind and that is the brandability of it.

Think about these two domains ... Houston.com and Adair.com. They are both short, one word .COMs that are based after city names but one is FAR FAR FAR more valuable than the other.

Adair is a small town in Oklahoma that makes it a brandable domain but only to a few thousand people. Houston is a large city in Texas that makes it marketable to millions and as such the brand has a bigger potential and that makes that domain WAY more valuable than the other one.

The domains you are looking for should be short, not hard to spell, easy to remember and make sense. Try and always avoid dashes, digits and abbreviations. Like I-Luv-4-U.com. Dashes, digits and abbreviations really hurt the value of the domain.

Although obviously there are always exceptions to every rule, you want to try and get the maximum money you can from your investment so following this quickie guildeline should help you do just that.
