I'd been wanting a good phone for SkypeIn-SkypeOut calls. Already had a desktop one but wanted a cordless and finally settled on this Linksys CIT300 Dual Mode VOIP Phone. I got it NEW off Amazon from a dealer for $28 SHIPPED! (Great deal! Alot of places still sell it for $70) It hooks up to the computer via USB and you can also hook up your regular phone to it (if you like). Supports up to 4 handsets. Had great reviews!

I subscribed to the SkypeOut unlimited US and Canada calls for $29.95 for the year and also purchased a local SkypeIn phone number for an additional $24 a year! Can't beat that!

I've been using Skype for at least 4-5 years now. In the beggining the calls used to have a lot of echo and time delay. The quality has improved tremendously since! I stll have a simple USB phone. I use Skype exclusively to call friends and family around the world.

That Phone looks neat. Give us some feed back on it.

Alot obviously depends on the quality of your online connection and available RAM too.. if you're running a dozen things in the background and trying to call, I don't think the quality would be very good.

Have to charge the batteries thru this evening then will give it a try.. will let you know how it works out.

Been thinking of getting the skype service lately. I currently run everything through my cell phone. The wife wants a land line but cant come to terms to spend a useless $30 on it. So i might be getting the skype service soon. Let us know how it is D!

Well, I love Skype itself.. it's certainly cheaper than a landline at $54 for the year (for plan and SkypeIn number).. you can even get multiple SkypeIn numbers in different locations so others can call you as a local call.

I just got this cordless to replace the desktop I had.. :D

Skype phones are great. I have a corded version that plugs into my USB port. It has it's own dial-in number so "normal" people can call me.

The coolest part is that I can travel with it. When I went to England this month I carried the phone with my laptop and was able to call home for pennies, and the quality was excellent. :tu:

I just started using Skype yesterday. Quality's really good so I'm tempted to uninstall MSN Messenger altogether. I now want to get one of those usb phones 'coz I can't stand headphones.

I took it over to a friend's patio which is basically the next street over and was still able to make a call.. it's rated for 350 feet from the base but that looks further to me. I'm really pleased with it so far!
