New site I started

Im doing this more out of my own interest.

Hopefully I can add some real content soon, like biographies, quotes, book reviews, interviews, etc... and perhaps a forum for discussing how wisdom relates to philosophy, neuroscience, and religion...

What do you think?

Im also a bit of a cartoonist so I may draw something new for each quote I feature on the front page.

I just put up my Abe Lincoln a couple minutes ago, next time I'll do something that takes up more of the available space.

Are you still in progress? You def need more content, and I would say - pages (two is not enough for such a site).

Hey thanks. I just started the site a couple of days ago so I am definitely planning on adding more pages and content.

Yes, I did the art. I am thinking about drawing mini-comics/cartoons for different wisdom related quotes I feature in the header.

the only thing i would like to advise you is to make a tag cloud so it will roll and twist. do you understand what i mean?

I will be using Wordpress to put up content on the front page; is that related to tag clouds? I am not sure how to customize a tag cloud if that is what you mean so I would appreciate an example if you can show me.

Im in the process of getting content together to put on the site but yeah I also plan on drawing other wise figures such as Martin Luther King Jr, Aristotle, Niels Bohr, etc. Hopefully I'll take care of the Abe-only thing soon!

Great idea, thanks for the suggestion. I put in the hover, but the arrows will take a bit longer.

I just added google adsense to the front page and also to the forum. Hopefully the ad-placement isn't too offensive to the overall design.

Good work so far. What are you real plans for the future? All in all it looks good so far, but if it's going to have continuity, it is all up to you.

I'll start by saying you have some great cartoons. If you are not already doing so, you could certainly have a career in illustration!

It's a nice clean design, my favourite. I'm glad to see you're taking into consideration other's ideas.

I don't really know what the site is about. It's not immediately obvious, and if that's not portrayed in the design, it should be portrayed by a slogan, or an about us paragraph somewhere on the homepage. Maybe slot it under the Welcome to Wisdom Theory text and put a border round it to distinguish it in the page.

The area above the main graphic is a little bland. I would suggest either shrinking it down height wise, or moving the Adsense up there (and boost your profits at the same time!).

I'm a fan of the navigation design. Pleasant colours and nice font. It might be a personal preference but I think people generally expect the navigation above the main graphic. That might also help your header problems.

Finally, a forum is a good idea for the topic, but you need to get a few more members in there. Really try and push that. You should also slot the main navigation bar at the top of the forums for continuity so people can get around the website from the forum.
