New site, Have a look!

I just finished a new site http://www.memopal.net/, I looking for reviews for the concept of the site not the design (Will be updating the design), Do you think people will use it??? Has great potential for adsense revenue.

at first glance, other than the updated design that it would need - but you're aware of that, it sounds like a good idea. on second though. the google toolbar has the scratchpad widget that one can use to do exactly what you're trying to achieve, which makes this project questionable to succeed. It wouldn't be because of your efforts, but solely because google had a huge headstart and more google sidebar than one can count.
Since you're targeting the online user group, which is the exact same group that's using the side bar, you're not offering something thats unique. if your tool would be usable offline, that would be an entirely different story. maybe its worth a thought?

Thank you gjsys for your reply. I was not aware of the scratchpad widget. I only have the toolbar installed, not the google desktop. From what I can tell it only works on the google desktop program. Do you know for sure? I thought if made a monthly giveaway promotion that it would help draw users in. What do you think?

most often its a great idea to give something away, but only when you can back it up with content that generates return users. in your case, you're practically working on the same platform as google does, online! the widget is a part of the google desktop program, notes can be saved, the widget can be undocked, etc. i haven't tried whether the widget can be run in offline mode.

it's not impossible to make your idea work, all i'm pointing at is that whenever google has their fingers in the mix, it's a lot more difficult to succeed.
take a close look at their widget and then see what you can incorporate from their concept into yours and where google's weaknesses are.

Thank's gjsys, I wasn't trying to criticize your advice, Just thinking out loud . I starting working on the site just to see how hard it was to make a custom google buttons. I will be working on a bigger concept using custom google buttons. Soon as I get my image editor working again (Thats why memopal's design is so bad!!). Once again, Thank you for your input.

I think you can make it work, it's just going to take a lot of creative spirit to run circles around the google guys, after all, they're getting paid handsomely to come up with this stuff.
