Hello,

As some of you may already know, for those of you that don't, I'd like to tell you about the new listing fees at SitePoint.

From now on, SitePoint is charging $9.95 for every site you post in the Sell Your Site section.

This is not really permanent, they are seeing how it will go and then that's when they can make their decision.

Personally, I hope it goes bad so the listing will be free again :D I also think this new listing fee will lure potential buyers and sellers away from the Sell Your Site forum at SitePoint D-:

What are your views? Do you agree or disagree with these new fees?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Booo, yes I never really liked it all that much to being with (only few post there) but... them doing that just makes NP that much better =)

I disagree hence the reason I am here, NP's got thrown around alot in the thread there so I came to see what it was all about, a fee is fine, a % or monthly cost yes, what they are doing no, makes no sense

BUT listing fees.. cmon that sucks...

I am here because of the sitepoint fee - having people pay isnt bad, having people pay 9.95 for every new thread is excessive.

Well, perhaps we should all sign a Thank You card and send it on over there. ;)

Seriously though, I'm sure the "big business" people of Sitepoint are loving it - all those guys who have mysteriously large sums of money and refuse to acknowledge use poor common folk.

Well I think it says something about the community when so many people are recommending it.

Howdy folks... I've already been a regular here in the marketplace, even before SP unveiled this. ;)

I think RJ is already very happy considering he's created already a very large and stable webmastering/domain community in a markerplace that no one thought could accept another community.

Rcd01 welcome aboard!
I am obviously prejudiced, but I don't think that it will take you very long, at all, to see what advantages and benefits are available here at the NP forum. (If you haven't already). The membership here is diverse and there are experts in all of the domain sales, marketing, development, and design niches who are generous w/ sharing their experience. :talk: I think that you will also find a general air of friendliness here, which speaks volumes about a forum w/ a membership of 15,000+ members. B-)
and :hi: petertdavis, nice to meet you and looking forward to seeing you around *the* forum! :tu: :)

welcome Fusun :)

Your gonna find ( i sure hope!) that this truly is a unique place online. The admins actually "care", RJ supports and spoils us...etc

As an example, in your user profile, you can add your adsense affil code and partake in the profit sharing here.. just by posting. A better forum you would be hard pressed to find... for almost any need.

Welcome Aboard!

$9.95 is an extremely "high" listing fee.. much higher then eBay listing fee's.. if they had say a $1.99 listing fee.. folks could go for that..
