The current batch of gTLD's is overwhelming in breadth and scope. The pricing structure for some of the current gTLD's is blatant price gouging.

Are the new 2026 gTLD's for end user buyers or domain investors?

If the general consensus is .COM is king and .AI is legitimate what would drive an end user to buy a 2026 gTLD?

I'll more than likely hand register my first (casino, betting, prediction market) domain.

There's some worthwhile extensions in the list, but the question is how ridiculous are the "premium" fees for any keywords that are actually decent?

It will be years until many of these 2026 extensions come out.

The process itself is slow, not to mention having to resolve contention sets for popular terms.

Even then, the best combos are likely to be unavailable or registry reserved, with big premium registration and/or renewal fees attached.

For end users, I think the appeal is not "new gTLDs are new." The appeal is usually can I get a clean name that says what I do without paying .com money?
